Answer
The Landscape Review of the Education Authority (EA) continues to be a key priority for my Department and officials, along with EA colleagues, continue to make good progress.
The specific work to address the 13 recommendations were collated into seven project workstreams. Of these, significant work has been undertaken on workstreams one (Clarity on Role and Function of EA), three (EA Performance, Data and Governance), four (End-to-End Reviews), five (EA People), six (EA Culture, Communication and Engagement) and seven (EA Partnership Agreement), with most individual actions completed or nearing completion.
A small number of actions within these projects remain in progress, which are now being taken forward as business-as-usual. As such, the Action Plan has been formally stood down.
The Department continues to monitor progress in completing all 13 recommendations via the appropriate governance and accountability mechanisms.
