To ask the Minister of Education for an update on the Education Training Inspectorate’s commissioned work in to Learning through Play to inform policy advice, as recommended in A Fair Start.

ANSWER

The Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) was commissioned to provide advice on the current and future levels of professional learning and support required for foundation stage teachers and classroom assistants in play-based pedagogy. ETI has concluded its review and the findings have been shared with the relevant policy officials.
