Answer

The Departmental Review of Behaviour Policy is being informed by engagement with a broad range of stakeholders across the education sector and through visits to a variety of educational settings to gather evidence and views on behaviour policy and practice. This engagement is intended to ensure that the review reflects a wide range of experiences, perspectives and expertise from across the school sector and wider education landscape.

As part of the wider evidence-gathering process, the independent expert supporting the review has engaged directly with senior Education Authority officials responsible for the areas outlined.

In addition, the Department has launched a public Call for Evidence, providing an opportunity for individuals and organisations to contribute their views, experiences and evidence to the review.

The evidence gathered through stakeholder engagement, educational visits and the Call for Evidence will help inform the review's conclusions and recommendations.
