Answer
My Department has undertaken considerable work in relation to the development of the policy and legislation relating to the Post Compulsory School Age legislation. This includes direct engagement with a range of stakeholders including political parties, a public consultation which ran from April to July 2025 and working with the Office of Legislative Counsel to develop a Bill.
The Bill is now ready for introduction and I am currently waiting for approval to take this forward. September will now be the earliest this will happen.
Without taking into account the cost of officials engaging in this work, my Department has not incurred any additional costs.
