Answer
Making induction mandatory will ensure all early career teachers receive a guaranteed entitlement to high-quality, structured support as a key first step in their professional learning journey. My officials are working with key stakeholders to agree the core content aligned to broader system priorities; enhance the support for both early career teachers and their teacher tutors; and develop processes to implement this mandatory requirement.
To date, no costs have been incurred.
