AQW 39977/22-27 Written question to the Minister for Communities

To ask the Minister for Communities, pursuant to AQW 38799/22-27, whether (i) any of the £200,000 capital funding allocated to Newtownards Library will be spent on that project, in this financial year; and (ii) he will allocate capital budget to this project in 2025-2026.

Answer

(i) While capital funding was set aside to start the Newtownards Library project in the current financial year, spend is subject to business case approval. The business case process has not yet been finalised.

(ii) The draft Capital DEL Budget 2026-30 has not yet been approved. Capital requirements are currently being considered and will be confirmed following agreement of the budget.
