Answer
Stakeholder engagement has been central to the curriculum reform programme to date, with extensive input during the Strategic Review process. This included school visits and classroom observations, over 70 meetings and focus groups with a wide range of stakeholders, an open call for evidence which received 149 submissions, and a teacher survey completed by 1,432 individuals.
An online survey was launched on 13 November 2025 to inform the Curriculum Taskforce Advisory Committee. This survey sought views from school leaders, teachers, and wider education stakeholders on individual subjects and areas of learning, including examples of current effective practice.
There will be further opportunities for engagement in the coming months as drafting commences. Furthermore, the draft curriculum framework will be subject to a full public consultation. This will ensure all stakeholders have the opportunity to review the draft curriculum and provide feedback.
