Answer
The Education Authority (EA) previously provided information on cases that its Transport Appeals Panel considered exceptional in nature and the reasons recorded for that decision included enforced relocation to temporary accommodation.
The EA is unable to identify pupils who have relocated to, or who are living in temporary accommodation. The EA has provided information below on cases it has identified where the reasons cited by parents include relocation to temporary accommodation, however its Transport Appeals Panel did not deem the circumstances to be exceptional.
| Academic Year | Appeals panel did not uphold the case – unsuccessful |
| 2022/23 | 5 |
| 2023/24 | 5 |
| 2024/25 | 10 |
| 2025/26 year to date | 10 |
