Answer
An Education Welfare Officer continues to work with pupils and their families after Court Action in a constructive manner to support the achievement of an acceptable level of school attendance. If progress is not made and maintained, then consideration is given to the need for further legal action being taken by the Education Authority. Cases are reviewed by the Education Welfare Service (EWS) during professional supervision and at EWS Complex Case Panels.
