Answer
A total of 29 schools were impacted due to the change made by the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (DofE) in their licence arrangement with the Education Authority.
Of the schools that are required to become Directly Licensed Centres:
16 schools have acquired this status and
13 schools have yet to acquire this status.
All young people currently engaged with the programme will be able to continue. DofE have ensured that arrangements are in place to ensure that every young person currently enrolled can continue and complete their Duke of Edinburgh and President’s Award.
