AQW 21517/22-27 Written question to the Minister of Education
To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to AQW 20412/22-27, whether Bangor Academy and Sixth Form College would be reconsidered for transformation to integrated status if they responded to the Department's Call for Transformation as a means of meeting demand for integrated education.

Answer
All schools that respond to a future call for transformation initiated by NICIE on behalf of the Department would be considered for transformation to Integrated status.
Before any such transformation proposal can be approved a Development Proposal is required under Article 14 of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986. All such proposals would have to demonstrate how the school met the definition of Integrated Education within Section 1 of the Integrated Education Act 2022
