AQW 16140/22-27 Written question to the Minister for Infrastructure
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 15510/22-27, (i) whether the foot passenger ferry will be operational by 14 October 2024; and (ii) whether appropriate bus services for pedestrians and schoolchildren will be provided for their onward journeys.

Answer
My Department has procured a passenger only service which subject to the necessary MCA certification and insurances being provided will be in operation from 14 October. A bus substitution will be provided by My Department via Translink from and to Portaferry for Assumption Grammar School pupils, other bus services will not be affected.
