Answer
The Health and Social Care Trusts do not have a dedicated budget for looked after children in preschool settings. The cost of addressing the needs of looked after children in pre-school settings is met from the Looked After Children budget allocated to HSC Trusts to enable them to fulfil their duties under The Children (NI) Order 1995 (the Order). This includes the duties under Part IV of the Order as they relate to support for children and families.
