Answer
The Landscape Review highlighted the need for the EA to become more child and pupil centric in its approach and to review, test and refresh all its front-line services to ensure they are appropriately resourced and skilled and that the processes and systems they use allow them to interact with stakeholders in real time and provide an improved quality of service and information.
My Department has been working with the Education Authority on the issues raised and have jointly developed an Action Plan to address the recommendations highlighted within the Report. Workstreams have been established to take forward the recommendations and I am keen to see progress at pace.
Work includes end-to-end reviews of Special Education Needs (SEN), school improvement and HR support services; revision of service delivery models; improvements to customer engagement; progression of people and culture work; and improvements to governance, data and partnerships.
