The Department is within the final development stages of the next Disability and Work Strategy, which will set a long term commitment to increasing the rate of employment for people with disabilities.
In developing the Strategy, the Department has embarked upon an extensive process of co-design of interventions with the disability sector, central and local government, employers and those with disabilities, supported by newly commissioned labour market research.
